Cyber Monday Sales Up 16% to $3.07 billion
Cyber Monday may have started out a little on the slow side, but sales later in the day helped push revenues to $3.07 billion, up 16 percent from last year, marking a new record for a single day of online sales that beat expectations.
Online sales for the five-day period starting on Thanksgiving amounted to $11.11 billion, 17 percent more than last year.
Mobile sales also broke new sale volume records, with some $799 million of online spending coming from a smartphone or tablet, making up 26 percent of all online sales, Adobe stated.
These results are a clear indicator that shoppers are increasingly turning to their digital devices over visiting physical stores.
The top Sellers this year included the Samsung 4k, iPad Mini, Xbox, iPad Air 2 and PS4.
